A native of Americus, Georgia, Gwendolyn Jean Wilson has been a resident of Mt. Vernon, N.Y. since the age of five. A 1965 graduate of Mt. Vernon High School, Gwendolyn Jackson Wilson is the daughter of the late Henry C. Jackson Sr. and Mother Minnie G. Jackson. She also had a younger brother Henry C. Jackson Jr. (Butch) who went to be with the Lord in June 2005. From youth to the present Gwendolyn Wilson has consistently exhibited the capacity to work with enthusiasm in a variety of professional endeavors. With concentrated studies in Business Administration, her talents have pursued the following: The first African American female Credit Analyst for the Shell Oil Co. nationwide, headquarters, Houston, TX, Executive Secretary to the President of subsidiary company, International Silver Co. Meriden, CT.
At the age of twelve Gwen accepted Christ as her personal Savior, beginning a lifetime of dedicated Christian Service. Under the ministry of her godfather and mentor, the late Reverend Dr. Otis D. Parks, she served in the Little Friendship Free Will Baptist Church as Church Clerk and on the Board of Trustees.
Because of her love for Gods Word and His people, she began serving not only in the area of Church Administration but also taught Church School to the Adult Class. Inspired to further her studies, she enrolled in the Deeper Life School of the Bible, Brooklyn, NY. In September 1990, Gwendolyn Wilson accepted the call to the Ministry and was licensed as an Evangelist.
Mindful of the admonition Study to shew thyself approved unto God Evangelist Wilson continued her studies at York Christian College and Divinity School. In 1993, she received a Bachelor of Religious Education and a Masters in Religious Education in 1997. On June 3, 2000 she received her Doctorate in Religious Education.
In November, 1998, Gwendolyn Wilson was ordained an Elder, by the late Bishop Lawrence E. Smith, Overseer and Sr. Pastor of Deeper Life Deliverance Church, Brooklyn, NY. She was appointed Pastor of Administration there and served in that capacity until 2001.
With an avid love for teaching Elder Wilson taught for six years at the Deeper Life School of the Bible. She also served on the faculty of Christian Love Tabernacle School of the Bible, later becoming Dean where she served for twelve years under the leadership of Bishop Leon Harris. Elder Wilson also taught Bible Doctrines for York Christian College and Divinity School as well as serving as The Regional Administrator for twelve years under the leadership of Dr. Victor M. Perez, President. Among her professional affiliations, Reverend Wilson is a licensed, registered Chaplain for the State of New York, in the field of correction. In May, 2000 she was recognized for significant accomplishments in the service of The Master by Eastern Theological Consortium, Faculty of Arts and Sciences of Christ Theological Seminary and was invested as a Fellow of the Consortium by the late Arch Bishop Herman R. Cannady Sr.
In October, 2007 heeding the voice of God and in obedience to His command, she accepted the call to the pastorate and begin the ministry mandated by God to be named THE WILL OF THE MASTER MINISTRIES INC. John 4:34 Jesus saith unto them, my meat is to do the will of Him that sent me, and to finish His work. It is with great excitement and greater expectations to win souls for the Kingdom that this work has begun.
Elder Wilson is the very proud mother of two daughters Simone E. Wilson and Joycelyn Wilson-Stone, 6 grandchildren Mykael, Qadree, J’cis, Miayah, Jia and Jemilee.
