Elder Zanetta Leavelle was born in Limestone, Maine to the late Melvin and Virgie Anderson. Zanetta is the oldest of twelve children. In her youth, the family traveled extremely, living in Texas, for period of time before becoming residents of the Bronx and later Mount Vernon, New York.
Elder Zanetta is a graduate of Mount Vernon High School and attended Pennsylvania State University. Her great love for children caused her to pursue working with Youth Programs and facilitating Christian Youth Activities. Her greater love for people led her to volunteer to help those physically and mentally challenged individuals.
Zanetta for many years was a member of Christ Church Word Aflame Ministries in Mount Vernon, NY under the Pastoral leadership of her uncle the late Bishop James Sadler. At Christ Church, she served in many areas of Ministry. The Youth ministry was her heart. She loved traveling with them to conferences and ministry engagements throughout the South.
Elder Leavelle love for the Lord and her desire to learn more about him led her to enroll in Deeper Life Bible Institute in Brooklyn, NY. There she received certificates in Bible Fundamentals, Dispensational and Post Graduate Studies. Her call to ministry has been a blessing to the Body of Christ. She ministers not only in the Word but professionally as well. She has been employed for twenty-nine years as a medical assistant for the Mt. Vernon Neighborhood Health Center. She currently holds the position as a diabetic navigator- educator for the same facility. Her medical care in assisting those with Diabetes and hypertension conditions is much needed and appreciated throughout the Community.
She has been called by God to the Pastorate with a great love and compassion for the people of God. She often quotes Psalm 18:6 as her rescue scripture and she praises God for it- In my distress I called upon the LORD, and cried unto my God: he heard my voice out of his temple, and my cry came before him, even into his ears.
Elder Zanetta is the proud Mother of a son and 1 Grandson.
